Play That Funky Music!- A Guide to Crafting the New Music Players

The B.O.X.E.S event has returned and with it comes some new recipes that enable us to craft the once elusive new music players! If your castle is feeling a bit dull, here’s a quick guide to crafting the new players!

All of the new music player recipes are sold by Rose Piper for 1000 gold. Rose Piper can be found in the main area of any of the 5 B.O.X.E.S.

Deep Sea Music Maker

Requires:

Recommendation: The sonic spring is considered a rare drop. You can obtain it by fighting various bosses in each of the 5 B.O.X.E.S.

1 Celestia Main Theme

Recommendation: This scroll can be found in the bazaar, but it might be difficult to find now that everyone is trying to craft these recipes. The only other way to obtain this scroll is as a drop from Mithraya, the final boss in the Trial of the Spheres dungeon.

5 Amethyst

Recommendation: This reagent can be easily found from reagent vendors in each world or from the bazaar.

15 Pristine Vial

Recommendation: Pristine Vials can be found either in the bazaar or from reagent vendors in worlds Celestia and higher.

25 Cat Tail

Recommendation: Cat Tail is a very common reagent. It can be found in the bazaar, or as a normal harvest within Wizard City, Krokotopia, Marleybone, Mooshu, Zafaria, Avalon, Azteca, Grizzleheim, and Wysteria.

1 MooShu Main Theme

Recommendation: This scroll can be found in the bazaar, but it might be difficult to find now that everyone is trying to craft these recipes. Other ways to obtain this scroll are as a drop from Jade Oni, the boss in the Emperor’s Throne Room, and from Mika Skarka, the boss you must defeat in order to enter Avalon, though he is not repeatable.

Recommendation: This reagent can be easily found from reagent vendors in each world or from the bazaar.

25 Mist Wood

Recommendation: Mist Wood is a very common reagent. It can be found in the bazaar, or as a normal harvest within Wizard City, Marleybone, Mooshu, Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon, Azteca, Khrysalis, Grizzleheim, and Wysteria.

Recommendation: Stone Block can sometimes be tricky to find at the Bazaar. It is a normal harvest within Wizard City, Krokotopia, Marleybone, Mooshu, Dragonspyre, Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon, Azteca, Khrysalis, Grizzleheim, and Wysteria.

Recommendation: Stone Block can sometimes be tricky to find at the Bazaar. It is a normal harvest within Wizard City, Krokotopia, Marleybone, Mooshu, Dragonspyre, Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon, Azteca, Khrysalis, Grizzleheim, and Wysteria.

Recommendation: This reagent can be easily found from reagent vendors in each world or from the bazaar.

25 Mist Wood

Recommendation: Mist Wood is a very common reagent. It can be found in the bazaar, or as a normal harvest within Wizard City, Marleybone, Mooshu, Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon, Azteca, Khrysalis, Grizzleheim, and Wysteria.


Overall, these recipes aren’t too difficult, but make sure you don’t forget about crafting them! These recipes are only available during the B.O.X.E.S event, so pick them up before they disappear! Good luck!

Let's Go Pogo - Ravenwood Pogo Stick

We know that you’ve been hopping all over the spiral with help from our Digmoore Pogo Stick guide! Although much more simpler than the Digmoore Pogo Stick, knowing what you need and how to craft the Ravenwood Pogo Stick can be extremely useful!

What’s needed?

Vendor: You can get this recipe from Rose Piper for 60,000 gold during the B.O.X.E.S. event. Although not in the game now, save up your gold for when the event returns!

Crafting Rank Needed: Apprentice Crafter

Crafting Station Needed: Equipment Crafting Station

Ingredients:

• 15 Snow Shield (Treasure Card)
• 5 Catfish (Fish)
• 1 Sonic Spring (Reagent)
• 20 Trumpet Vine (Seed)
• 15 Sapphire (Reagent)
• 25 Scrap Iron (Reagent)
• 25 Spring (Reagent)
• 10 Leather Straps (Reagent)

15 Snow Shield

Recommended Method: Buying-This treasure card can be easily bought from the bazaar, or from Harold Argleston, Zan’ne, or The Archivist for only 150 gold.

Other Methods:

• Purchasing Packs - You have a chance at getting this card by purchasing the Eye of Bartelby Pack.
• Dropped - This card is dropped from multiple bosses and mobs around Wizard City!
• Gardening - This card can be a reward from Evil Snow Peas, Laugh-O-Dil, and Snow Apples.
• Crafting - Visit Kelvin the Ice Tree to buy this recipe for 150 gold. The recipe calls for 1 Sapphire, 2 Stone Block, and 2 Leather Straps.

5 Catfish

Recommended Method: Fishing-In fact, this ingredient can only be obtained by fishing! Although marked as a common fish, this fish can be a little difficult to get. Tips:

• This fish is seen in the Wizard City, Commons.
• Use the “Reveal Fish School” spell to locate fire school fish. Fire school fish are marked in a light orange with a faint flame symbol. When you see them, use your fire school lure and try to catch them!
• If you catch all of the fire fish, feel free to use the “Summon Fish” spell to repopulate the pond with just a click of your mouse. If you haven’t yet trained the “Summon Fish” spell, you’ll have to wait until the fish respawn on their own.

1 Sonic Spring:

Recommend Method: Farming - This reagent can only be obtained by farming! The Sonic Spring drops from bosses and mobs in each of the five B.O.X.E.S. That means that you’ll have to farm while the event is going on in order to obtain them!

• This reagent is considered a rare drop.

20 Trumpet Vine

Recommended Method: Buying - This seed is sold by both Harley (Celestia) and Narley (Zafaria) for 2,400 gold.

Other Methods:

• Gardening - This seed can be obtained as a reward from other plants including Pink Huckleberries, Red Huckleberries, and Silver Trumpet Vine. If you already have Trumpet Vine planted, you can also receive this seed as a reseed from existing Trumpet Vine.
• Farming - This seed is dropped from various enemies around the Spiral!

15 Sapphire

Recommended Method: Buying - This reagent can bought from the majority of reagent vendors around the Spiral.

Other Methods:

• Gardening - This reagent can come as a reward from three different seeds including Burning Snap Dragon, Ivy League, and Snap Dragon.
• Dropped - This reagent can be dropped from various enemies in the Midnight Sun Pagoda.
• Purchasing Packs - You have a chance at getting this reagent by purchasing Dragon’s Hoard Pack, Kirin’s Hoard Pack, Ninja’s Lore Pack, Shaman’s Lore Pack, and Skyvern’s Lore Pack.

25 Scrap Iron

Recommended Method: Buying: This reagent can be bought from the Bazaar.  I can’t guarantee that it won’t take you a good amount of time.

Other Methods:

• Gardening - This reagent can be dropped as a reward from four different seeds including Burning Snap Dragon, Helephant Ears, Evil Magma Peas, and Venus Fly Trap.
• Harvesting - This reagent can be harvested in many worlds around the Spiral.  Mostly in Marleybone.
• Transmuting - You can purchase this reagent’s transmute from Felicia Worthington.  You would need 10 Stone Blocks and 10 Ore in order to transmute one Scrap Iron.
• Purchasing Packs - You have a chance at getting this reagent by purchasing Keeper’s Lore Pack, Knight’s Lore Pack, Ninja’s Lore Pack, Pharaoh’s Hoard Pack, Remarkable Reagents Pack, and Shaman’s Hoard Pack

25 Spring

Recommended Method: Transmuting - You can purchase this reagent’s transmute from Felicia Worthington.  You would need 15 Scrap Iron in order to transmute one Spring.

Other Methods:

• Buying - This reagent can be bought from the Bazaar but isn’t found very often.
• Gardening - This reagent can be dropped as a reward from four different seeds including Fickle Pickle, King Parsley, Pink Dandelion, and The Giving Tree.
• Rare Harvesting - If you harvest Scrap Iron, there is a rare chance that you will receive this reagent.
• Transmuting - You can purchase this reagent’s transmute from Felicia Worthington.  You would need 15 Scrap Iron in order to transmute one Spring.
• Purchasing Packs - You have a chance at getting this reagent by purchasing Keeper’s Lore Pack, Knight’s Lore Pack, Ninja’s Lore Pack, and Shaman’s Lore Pack.

10 Leather Straps

Recommended Method: Buying - This reagent can be bought from the Bazaar and can be pretty easily found there.

Other Methods:

• Gardening - This reagent can be dropped as a reward from the Trumpet Vine.
• Dropped - This reagent is dropped by various different enemies around the Spiral!
• Transmuting - You can purchase this transmute from Eudora Tangletree.  You would need 5 Bone in order to transmute one Leather Straps.
• Purchasing Packs - You have a chance at getting this reagent by purchasing Keeper’s Lore Pack, Knight’s Lore Pack, Ninja’s Lore Pack, Pharaoh’s Hoard Pack, Remarkable Reagents Pack, and Shaman’s Lore Pack

Let's Go Pogo - Digmoore Pogo Stick

There are craftable mounts now!  You know what that means?  Farming, gardening, and collecting reagents.  There is a Digmoore Pogo Stick and Ravenwood Pogo Stick that can be crafted.  We’re going to show you the fastest way to get the materials to craft these mounts!  We are going to start with the harder mount to craft, the Digmoore Pogo Stick.  In the future, we will be posting how to craft the Ravenwood Pogo Stick!

How do I get the recipe?

Both recipes can be bought from Rose Piper in any of the B.O.X.E.S. dungeons for the B.O.X.E.S. Event.  You will only be able to buy these recipes for a limited time every time KingsIsle releases the B.O.X.E.S. Event. So buy them for 60,000 gold each when you can!

10 Clockwork Spider (Treasure Card)

10 Brain Sturgeon (Fish)

1 Sonic Spring (Reagent)

Now let us get into the tricky parts.  This is going to go relatively in order from hardest to acquire to the easiest.

10 Clockwork Spider

• This treasure card is very time consuming and difficult to get.  You can have some luck in the Bazaar but that would take you quite a while.  Other than sitting in the Bazaar and having little to no luck, you can farm Khrysalis bosses, garden, or use some crowns getting some packs.
• The best boss to farm for this treasure card is Razele the TwoFaced in Bastion, Khrysalis.
• Life boss and minions
• Gardening is an efficient way to get this treasure card, but if you don’t have a lot of Clockwork Flowers, it will take you some time.

• When the Nightmare Pack is available in the Crown Shop, you can get this treasure card from there.  Good luck!

1 Sonic Spring

• You have to be quick with this reagent as the only way to get it is in the B.O.X.E.S. dungeons so farm for them as soon as you can!  
• Any battle can drop it but it is considered a rare drop

10 Silver Trumpet Vine

• These seeds can be expensive or somewhat time consuming to get.
• If you do not want to waste your time and have crowns, feel free to buy them for 1,000 crowns in the crown shop.
• Another way you can get them with crowns is by buying the Hoard of the Hydra Pack, Kirin’s Hoard Pack, and/or Wyvern’s Hoard Pack… but you need luck for that.
• Gardening is probably the best way to go as you can plant some Trumpet Vines (selling at 2,400 gold by Harley).

• These can also be dropped by a bunch of bosses and mobs including Junglethorn in The Floating Land, Celestia.

10 Brain Sturgeon

• Catching 10 of these fish is pretty time consuming due to the fact that you can only get them from one tiny pond.  If you want this to be a bit quicker, I suggest to get as high enough level as you can in fishing and get all the necessary spells to make the fishing process quicker.
• If you have the “Summon Fish” spell: Check the school of the fish in your pond and if you find any lifes, catch them.  After that, use the Summon Fish spell and ignore all of the Balance fish you might see there.  This will reset your pond and you can check what schools the fish in your pond are again and continue that process until you are left with no energy.
• If you do not have the “Summon Fish” spell: Check the school of the fish in your pond and catch the life fish in that pond.  Get rid of the Balance fish in the pond by scaring them away.  You might have to wait about half an hour for the fish to spawn again.
• Note: Any Lifeacudas you catch in this expedition, I suggest you keep as they can be used to craft the Regular Keeper Aquarium if you are ever interested in decorating your fish around your castles or dorm.

25 Spring

• Like most other reagents, you can get this one from gardening, packs, the Bazaar, transmuting and, of course, running around finding them.
• You can receive this reagent from planting and taking care of Fickle Pickle, King Parsley, Pink Dandelion, and The Giving Tree.  Although this might be time consuming, it’s one of the most efficient and easiest ways.  
• If you are willing to spend your crowns on packs, you can get them from the Keeper’s Lore Pack, Knight’s Lore Pack, Ninja’s Lore Pack, and/or Shaman’s Lore Pack.  Best of luck!
• If you have the Scrap Iron and a Card Crafting Station, you can buy the transmute from Felicia Worthington.  15 Scrap Iron for one Spring.  That is 375 Scrap Iron in total.
• If you know the best places to find Scrap Iron laying around, feel free to take that route.  You have a rare chance of getting Spring from collecting Scrap Iron.

25 Scrap Iron

• Well I hope you didn’t use all your Scrap Iron for transmuting it to a Spring.  You can get these from collecting them, gardening, packs, the Bazaar, and transmuting.
• As I said before, you can find a route to find them laying around to collect which will also give you a chance to get some Spring along the way.  
• Yep, gardening again.  They can be found from Burning Snap Dragon, Helephant Ears, Evil Magma Peas, and Venus Fly Trap.  Again, efficient but time consuming.
• Can be found in several packs including the Keeper’s Lore Pack, Knight’s Lore Pack, Ninja’s Lore Pack, and more.
• If you have a lot of Stone Blocks and Ores saved up, you can use those to transmute.  Transmute can be bought from Felicia Worthington.  Transmute consists of 10 Stone Blocks and 10 Ores.

15 Bronze Gear

• If you can’t find these in the Bazaar, well… they are still not very hard to find.
• They can be found in many packs including Keeper’s Lore Pack, Knight’s Lore Pack, and Ninja’s Lore Pack.
• They can be found when gardening Orange Dandelions.
• They can be dropped by many different bosses and mobs.
• If you have Spider Silk, you can transmute 5 Spider Silk for one Bronze Gear.  Felicia Worthington also sells this transmute

10 Leather Straps

• These are also not very hard to find and can be easily found in the Bazaar but if you would like to find them other ways, you can receive them from several things.
• When gardening, the Trumpet Vine is the only one that you can receive it from.
• You can also receive them from the Keeper’s Lore Pack, Knight’s Lore Pack, Ninja’s Lore Pack, and a few more packs.
• They are dropped by several different mobs and bosses.
• You can get a transmute from Eudora Tangletree using 5 Bones for one pair of Leather Straps.

Best of luck as this is an expensive and time consuming mount to craft.  Make sure to get those Sonic Springs and buy the recipes before the B.O.X.E.S. Event is gone!  If you didn’t have a chance to get either one, it will be coming back in the future.
