Tomorrow, April 4th, will be Pirate101's second Pillow Fight event! Starting at 12:01 a.m. CST, you will be tasked with hunting down as many pillows that you can find across Skull Island. The pirate who collects the most pillows by the end of the day will win awesome prizes!

The different types of pillows that you can find are:

 Embroidered Royal Pillow
 Royal Throw Pillow
 Embroidered Elegant Throw Pillow
 Embroidered Regal Pillow

While many creatures in Skull Island drop these items, we recommend fighting those who drop all four kinds of pillows - that way you're more likely to get one from each battle! Nim, Eep Opp Ork Ah-Ah, and Fin Dorsal in Gullet are all good options here, but there are plenty of others! (You can find a full list over at the Pirate101 Central Wiki here).

Interested in what you can win? The grand prize winner will receive 60,000 Crowns, and ten runner ups will each get 10,000 Crowns! Remember that pillows are counted per character, not per account, so you should participate in the event on only one pirate for the best chance at winning.

You can view the results for the first Pillow Fight event on the KingsIsle Blog - 8,046 pillows were found throughout the day, and the grand prize winner collected 115 pillows!

Good luck, pirates, and may your backpacks be filled with pillows tomorrow!

Have you heard the news? Tomorrow, Pirate101 will be hosting an official in-game contest where you can win up to 60,000 Crowns! Are you excited? We sure are!

How Do I Participate?

Starting tomorrow at 12:01 am, all pillow drops from bosses will be automatically recorded. Your job is to acquire as many of these pillows as possible before 11:59 pm Central Time, at which the contest will close.

You don't have to keep all of the pillows you get - though you certainly can if you want to make an awesome pillow fort - so feel free to sell them to vendors or the Bazaar. Just be careful that your backpack isn't full, or else they will be destroyed and not count towards your total!

What Can I Win?

The answer is simple: Crowns!

The grand prize winner, aside from becoming an expert pillow collector, will take home 60,000 Crowns. Ten runner ups will also win 10,000 Crowns each. Excited yet?

Plenty of players will be participating, so you'll have to be quick! If you do manage to win one of these awesome prizes, you can spend your Crowns in the Crown Shop for a new mount, crew members, pets... and more!

So, Where Can I Get These Pillows From?

Skull Island bosses, of course! Practically every boss will drop at least one type of pillow, but some bosses will drop more than one kind - these are the bosses that we suggest to farm. The Pirate101 Central Wiki has a great list of which bosses drop what pillows - be sure to take a look at it here!

Finally, be sure to check out the official page for this contest over at pirate101.com. Are you ready to pillow hunt?

Have fun, pirates!

Scrip is one of the many new additions with Pirate101’s newest update… and it’s certainly our favorite! What makes this new currency awesome is the fact that it encourages group play and makes nautical ship sinking parties worthwhile for even max level pirate captains!

If you haven’t seen yet, the Black Market can be accessed through the Skull Island Bazaar… but Squid Viscous won’t accept gold. You’ll have to pay him Scrip, a new type of currency. There are a couple of ways to get Scrip, but by far the easiest is to sink ships out in the Skyways – the further you go from Skull Island, the more Scrip you’ll receive. Not every ship will drop Scrip, and if they do, you’ll receive a random amount, generally between 1 and 14. This may not seem like very much, but after a little while of sinking ships, you’ll be earning plenty of Scrip!

Recently, many players have been organizing farming events to collect Scrip – these are a great way to meet others and all work together to earn the maximum amount of rewards for your character. If you prefer to sink ships alone, that’s fine too – it may be more of a challenge, but what makes this feature especially cool is that you’re free to go at your own pace in collecting Scrip.

If you’re looking for a good place to start farming, try Marleybone or Aquila. Not only will these worlds tend to drop higher amounts, but you can easily find bosses in the skyway – in Marleybone, you can even find a Turret, which will always drop Scrip. Turrets are tough to sink, though, so make sure you bring a team if you’re looking to fight them! If you want to take a short break from questing, try heading over to the Achaean Way in Avery realm… you might just find a couple pirates challenging Pluton or Spartacos for their Scrip!

So, what can you buy with Scrip? Well… lots of things! And by lots, I mean LOTS – gear, housing, doubloons, accessories, pets, you name it – even a modified ship cabin that you can’t find anywhere else! This ship cabin comes with a second floor, but be warned: it’s very expensive at a price of 25,000 Scrip, making it the most difficult item to acquire in the Black Market.

Looking for a bit less of a challenge? Try the gear sets, the battle standards, housing dividers, or simply a pet or an accessory – all of these are great and will help customize your character. If you’re daring enough to save up for that ship cabin, it’ll take lots and lots of ships… supposing that you can get Scrip from one in every four ships, it’ll take a little more than thirteen thousand ships to earn enough… but who’s counting, right?

As of right now, I’ve been farming in both Marleybone and Aquila for Scrip, and have received a good amount – I’m aiming to buy the gear set for 5,000 Scrip to let everyone know that I’m an expert ship sinker!

Here is my progress in collecting Scrip over the past few days:

What are you looking to buy with Scrip? Have you started farming for it yet? Let us know in the comments!

This month is shaping up to be great, especially with that mystery contest we have planned for March 15th... what exactly will it be? More information will be revealed very soon!

To start our blogaversary month off, we'll be hosting a farming event on Saturday, March 8th at Friar Sand. Note that you do not have to have be able to access this area yourself, though it would be more helpful if you did. The more pirates in the fight, the higher the gold reward will be for everyone - lower level pirates are more than welcome to attend!

At 4:00 EST, we will meet in Avery's Court, realm One-Eyed Jack. Please add a pirate named Quick Lucas Newell, who will teleport everyone to entrance to Friar Sand's instance. Pickups will last approximately 10-15 minutes, so make sure you are there on time!

If you are a lower level and cannot enter the area by yourself, please find a higher level pirate who will be willing to take you inside. Remember, the more pirates the group the better... more gold to plunder!

On March 22nd, we'll be switching it up and hosting a Nautical Farming Event at Captain Pluton. Whether you're just looking for rare ship parts or if you need to raise your nautical level, be sure to come so that you're all ready for broadside ship combat for when the next major update is released! This event will also be held at 4:00 EST. Meet us in Avery's Court, realm One-Eyed Jack for pickups... and, of course, this event is open to all levels!

We'll also be closing off the month with a second Friar Sand farming event on March 29th at 4:00 EST, where we will be meeting in the same place and realm. So feel free to spend all the gold you receive from the event, because you'll be able to win plenty more shortly after!

Also, we have some extra codes for rare items that you may be interested in... we'll be giving a couple out at each farming event, so be sure to attend!

Here's this month schedule to recap:

March 8th: Friar Sand Farming Event @ 4pm EST
March 15th: Mystery Contest (Keep an eye out for more information!)
March 22nd: Captain Pluton Nautical Farming Event @4pm EST
March 29th: Friar Sand Farming Event @ 4pm EST

We hope to see you all there!!

Some of you may know, that last March is when we started what was back then, "Adventures of the Wizard" over on wordpress. We’ve come a long way since then; we changed the blog name to “Adventures of the Spiral”, released the Companion Database back in September, and not so long ago, we were delightfully accepted as an Official Fansite for Pirate101!

However, we would not be where we are right now if it wasn’t for you guys, our readers. So, to celebrate, we would like to dedicate this month to you!

Throughout this month we will be having Farming Events and a contest, which we believe, you will all be very excited for, but the details will not be shared with you yet!

Here’s a schedule of events, more news and info will be coming during the first week of March regarding the Farming Events. The nature of the Mystery Contest will be revealed before March 15th, so do keep an eye out for that!

March 8th: Friar Sands Farming @ 4pm EST
March 15th: Mystery Contest (More Information to be Announced)
March 22nd: Captain Pluton Nautical Farming Event @4pm EST
